Colin K. Watanabe

With more than 42 years of financial industry experience, Colin K. Watanabe brings a deeply personal and transparent approach to wealth management. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, Colin works with individuals, families, and business owners. He keeps clients' unique goals and circumstances at the forefront as he helps clients navigate investment planning, retirement strategies, and portfolio management. 

Colin joined B. Riley Wealth Management in July 2022, following the firm's acquisition of National Securities Corp, where he had built his practice since 1989. He appreciates B. Riley Wealth's commitment to offering broad investment support, which reflects the same client-first values Colin has held throughout his career.

Colin attained a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University in 1981. He has spent decades as a Volunteer Leader with the Boy Scouts of America, Aloha Council, guiding young scouts to the Eagle Scout award. Outside the office, he holds a black belt in Kendo, builds and repairs furniture and ukuleles, tends a garden with great enthusiasm, and plays golf with more heart than handicap.
